SMERTGUARD SETUP GUIDE
Set up local safety vision, step by step
Use a phone or tablet directly, or connect existing IP cameras through a local SMERTGuard Box. Video stays on the device or your own network.
STEP 1
Choose your device
Use a recent iPhone, iPad or Android device as a camera. Keep it connected to power and stable Wi-Fi.
STEP 2
Upload the floorplan
Photograph or scan the whole floorplan. Review every AI risk finding; AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete.
STEP 3
Place each camera
Cover the danger area without filming private rooms or neighbouring property. Mount the device securely.
STEP 4
Draw danger zones
Mark stairs, balcony doors, kitchens, pools or medicine storage. Add a short delay where normal movement is expected.
STEP 5
Test alerts
Walk across each zone. Confirm the local siren, in-app notice, email and WhatsApp alert all arrive.
Privacy and local processing
Phone and tablet camera analysis runs on that device. Existing-camera analysis runs on the local Box. SMERTGuard stores only account information, settings and text alert events; it does not upload camera footage.
Billing and cancellation
Open Billing in the app to update payment details, download receipts, change plans or cancel. Stripe calculates and collects applicable tax; your subscription remains active until the period shown in Billing.
Troubleshooting checklist
- Camera permission is allowed in the browser settings
- Camera device remains connected to power
- Phone, tablet or Box is on the expected private network
- Each danger zone still matches the camera view
- Siren volume is high enough for the premises
- Every trusted contact received the latest test alert
- IP camera address is fixed or reserved on the router
- Business notices and consent meet local law
SMERTGuard helps reduce risk; it does not remove it. It does not replace adult supervision, child locks, smoke detectors, medical alarms, security services or legal compliance obligations. It is not a certified safety, medical, security or HACCP certification device, and alerts can fail because of power, network, camera angle or lighting. Keep physical barriers, supervision, certified alarms and legally required safety systems in place.
