Our privacy promise

    SMERTGuard is built so that your home and your workplace stay private. This page explains what we process and what we never do.

    Video stays on your devices

    Camera images are analysed in real time on the camera device itself (your phone or tablet) or on a SMERT edge box on your own network. Video is not recorded, stored or uploaded to smert.ai.

    What reaches our servers

    • Your account details (name, email) and subscription status.
    • Your floorplan image, so our AI can mark risks. You can delete it anytime.
    • Zones you draw and device names.
    • Alert events: zone name, risk type, time and device. No images.

    What we never do

    • No facial recognition or identification of people.
    • No selling or sharing of your data for advertising.
    • No access to your cameras by our staff.

    Your rights

    You can export or delete your data from the app settings, or by writing to hello@smertai.com. Business customers are responsible for informing staff and visitors that cameras are in use, in line with local law.

    SMERTGuard helps reduce risk; it does not remove it. It does not replace adult supervision, child locks, smoke detectors, medical alarms, security services or legal compliance obligations. It is not a certified safety, medical, security or HACCP certification device, and alerts can fail because of power, network, camera angle or lighting.
