AI robotics: cobots that see, understand and talk

SMERT builds AI robotics solutions: collaborative robots with computer vision, depth cameras, edge AI and voice. They recognise objects, follow people's instructions and adapt to real work instead of repeating one fixed motion.

Every solution is assembled and tested in our Hong Kong R&D lab before it reaches a customer, then supported 24/7.

    • Computer vision and depth cameras
    • AI runs locally on an edge computer
    • Voice interaction with operators
    • Safety always on the cobot itself
    • Tested in our Hong Kong lab first
    • Training and 24/7 support included

    Computer vision

Cameras identify parts, check quality and guide the cobot, with results shown live to the operator.

    AI for hospitality

Barista, kitchen and bar cobots that keep quality consistent at busy hours.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is AI robotics?

AI robotics combines robot arms with artificial intelligence: cameras and computer vision to see, edge computers to decide, and voice to talk with people. The robot adapts to what is in front of it instead of repeating one fixed motion.

What does SMERT do in AI robotics?

SMERT integrates collaborative robots (cobots) with computer vision, depth cameras, edge AI computers and voice interaction. We build and test each cell in our Hong Kong lab, then deploy it with a per-site risk assessment, training and support.

    Where does the AI run?

On an edge computer next to the cobot, so camera video is processed locally. Cloud services are used only where they add value, and safety functions always stay on the cobot itself.

    Which industries use AI cobots?

Hospitality (kitchens, baristas, bars), manufacturing (machine tending, inspection, PCB test), logistics (packing, palletizing) and supervised healthcare assistance.
